FINALLY!!!! My New Year's post.
I rang in the New Year’s like I always do - on horseback - and
discovered some really cool local trails (see Cache Creek in the
Northern California trails section of my website). It’s that time of
year where we look back at 2011 and forward to 2012.
Now, in the style of the Haiku Farm - I present 2011.
I
was a slightly less prolific blogger in 2011 (201 posts as opposed to
300 in 2010, and just over 250 posts in 2009) which probably comes to as
a relief to most of my readers - my sister once told me that I post
enough for 3 blogs. Here’s what happened to Team Faubel in 20011.
There was a single ride. Actually, 2 rides. A conditioning ride and a solitary endurance ride.
I
managed to do, 20 MT 100, which ended in a pull at mile 92. Farley got
a reprieve and I took the opportunity to do something else like….
…show at Pebble Beach!!! Got my Qualified Riders Score from CDS.
It
rained a lot in the first half of 2011 - you know, when I was actually
trying to ride. The second half of 2011, when I was too busy to ride,
was perfectly fine weather.
The lack of riding explains the substantial amount of non-horse stuff in 2011....
Which will be presented in part 2 in an effort to keep blogger happy....
