Fear

Sorry - I seem to be doing this a lot lately. Yet another link for my wonderful readers to check out.

Most of the stories mugwumps posts on Monday are fantastic, but this one in particular was so wonderful I had to share.

I am a fearful, cautious person. Some day I will post on fear and what it has done to my life, and what I have done to try and over come it. I may recruit a few family members or friends that I know have a good "fear" story as guest bloggers. My aunt and I talked about fear after she fell off during our weekend ride. My cousin and I have discussed our innate fear of dogs. How to deal with it, our tricks and stategies, the mind games.

  1. You. Fearful. No way! I seriously can't believe that!

I guess we all go through the Fear at some point and come up with our own ways of working through it. I know a couple of people who quit riding entirely from fear, and I feel for them, but it's so worth it to me.

I love Mugs, and I thought the list of excuses from today's guest poster was awesome :)

I used to do a lot of yoga, and my trick when I get scared is to ride anyway (cause I'm a redneck) and consciously relax all those scared muscles (cause I'm a sophisticated redneck). And I think about how soft and fluffy the ground is :D
